You were too easy on the NY Times. They obsessed about more than just Whitewater. Travelgate, Filegate, Chinagate to name a few more bogus scandals the Times was eagerly pushing. I am still amazed that so many journalists who worshipped the ground JFK walked on thought Clinton was unfit to serve because of his affair with Monica. I am also still amazed that they American public continually give Clinton high approval ratings despite of, or maybe because of, those attacks.

Doing better? Yes. Doing it right? Of course not. That wouldn't be "objective."

First, truth is not objective. It is truth.

Second, the First Amendment will not survive a second term.

Today's FUN FACT: Helsinki.

BBC 7/16/18: TRUMP'S SIDES WITH RUSSIA AGAINST FBI AT HELSINKI SUMMIT

NPR 7/17/18: TRUMP'S HELSINKI BOW TO PUTIN LEAVES WORLD WONDERING: WHY?

Eric Boehlert 7/24/18: in THE AMERICAN INDEPENDENT: MOST AMERICANS THINK PUTIN HAS DIRT ON TRUMP

BINGO! My guess? He knows what's in the stolen medical records. In short: bone spurs my foot. Trump sat out Vietnam because of a diagnosis of mental illness, the evidence of which we've all witnessed throughout his campaign and presidency.

Think of it: shouldn't a rich or powerful man's son be able to do his service the proper, time-honored way, with a nice, safe job writing for "Stars and Stripes," or a nice, safe job flying for the National Guard? You can still wear the uniform, and appear in pictures, and maybe run for President someday. But what if you're rejected on a Section 8? Don't you then need a phony excuse, for the cover-up?

It'll be our little secret: Giuliani, Calamari, Garten, Schiller. . . . And former KGB officer Putin's intelligence service.

One man cannot destroy a country but with the help of a negligent press and Republican enablers, he can. I find it more disturbing than Trump himself that most Republicans feel it's okay to lie and cheat as long as it keeps them in power. They're cowards who will not stand up to the bully. When Republicans had the chance to remove this man. from office last March, they showed their hand for all to see. They will never turn against him. And then there's the press that refuses to call this president for what he is, an authoritarian wanna-be, a lying psychopath, a racist, a misogynist. He's a man with no empathy for the 170k plus Americans that have died because of his ineptitude to respond to the pandemic. Countless patriots sacrificed their lives since the Revolution to defend democracy. If vote by mail is going to be compromised, the least we can do is to risk getting the virus while waiting in line to execute our right to vote, a right so many died to defend.

I’ve often said Trump

must be amazed at how easy it’s been for him to push over so many supposedly powerful DC institutions, including GOP and the press

The media have missed two salient points and facts on the post office destruction. One is that the capita spent to rebuild it will personally enrich Dejoy Mnuchin, and several republicans on the postal board. We will see this on the multi billion dollar contract for capital machinery that they will award to a firm that they happen to partial own directly or in directly via a PE fund. Look closely at XPO logistics DeJoy’s former company. Oddly the current CEO also runs a PE fund. Second by upgrading this machinery they will be able to inspect and rate adjust the packages they are delivering. This would allows some one to effectively hold a package hostage while in system, which would allow Trump to stick to Bezos which is obsessed with.
